Meet River: A Resilient Soul Seeking Her Person; (born Jan 25, 2025) is a sweet 1-year-old girl who has overcome a difficult past of abuse and neglect. I rescued her in October 2025, and she has shown incredible potential with a steady schedule and hand-training.
The Essentials:
▪︎ Training: Well-adjusted with hand-feeding at meals. Still working on potty training and crate accidents.
▪︎ The Challenge: Due to her past, River has food/resource guarding issues. She recently barked and lunged when a child tried to take her chew stick.
▪︎ Ideal Home: Adult-only (no young children). Needs a calm, patient owner who understands secure boundaries and consistent exercise.
River has a fighting spirit and just needs a furever home that understands her recovery journey. I have poured my heart and resources into her; now she just needs you.
