Hi my name is Bambi and I am from Mississippi!
From her foster: Bambi is a sweet, cuddly, and very smart pup who loves being close to her people. She’s happiest snuggling up for pets, stretching out for midday snoozes, or playing with her toys.
She walks nicely on leash and is friendly and curious about people and dogs she meets, though fast-moving things like bikes and basketballs can still make her a little unsure. Because Bambi is deaf, she’s very visually tuned in—she knows “sit” and is learning “down” and “stay” with hand signals. She loves keeping her people in sight and does best with folks who approach within her line of vision or use gentle taps to get her attention.
Bambi enjoys eating and taking treats in her crate, and sleeps in there all night with little issue. It may just take some initial coaxing if she's not ready for bed! She’s currently scared of interior stairs, so a ground-level home or elevator building would be ideal. She’s also working on potty training and will thrive with easy outdoor access.
Bambi’s other interests include pulling her favorite blankie around the house, watching the sky, and staring lovingly into your eyes.
