Meet rolo

Rolo is a Yorkshire terrier puppy. He has a really good balance of being active and relaxing, especially for being a puppy. He enjoys going for walks, rain or shine, and he has a really good appetite. He’s very curious about the world and enjoys exploring. You can just see him observe everything with his little nose. He’s very respectful of other dogs and seems to give them their space. He likes chews and ropes, but it’s not an excessive chewer by any means. He started him on a every two hour potty regimen and he seems to be responding well. He will sleep in his pup bed or with a person. He just needs a lot of reassurance that you’re not gonna leave him so his friends’ scent next to him is a helpful.

He’s curious about potty training and every time he goes out he’s trying to connect the pieces. He’s a quick learner, so he’s making steady progress. He just needs more practicet. He does not resource guard and seems fine around children and other pets. He’s a very good, sweet and loveable dog.

He likes rides in the car. He is food motivated. He’s gonna be a great dog for somebody. He’s very loyal and very calm and has a good balance of play and relaxation. He’s gonna be somebody’s best friend because he has such a good disposition and demeanor. He can be independent too, which is great. He’s not an overly clingy dog, which is really cool because you get plenty of snuggles, but some time to yourself as well.

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.
