Roxy is a striking young shepherd mix with a sleek black coat, bright eyes, and those beautiful upright ears that show just how alert and intelligent she is. She is full of life and joy — playful, energetic, and always ready for her next adventure.

Her family’s living situation changed and, through no fault of her own, Roxy could not go with them. Now she is waiting for someone new to see what a special girl she truly is.

Roxy is house trained and does well on leash. She already knows sit, shake, and down, and she listens attentively when you speak to her. She is still polishing her “stay,” but she is young, eager to please, and very trainable. With a little consistency and guidance, she will thrive.

She is dog friendly (resident dogs can come to the shelter for a meet and greet) and good with children, making her a wonderful addition to an active household. Roxy would love a home where she can play, learn, and be included as part of the family. She would make an excellent walking, hiking, or running partner — and just as happily curl up near her people after a busy day.

Roxy has so much love and loyalty to give. She just needs a forever home that won’t leave her behind again.

This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
