Meet squirt
Meet Squirt 🐾
Squirt came into my care as an emergency overnight foster on July 4th, 2023, along with her female pit bull buddy. Sadly, no one ever came back for them. About a year later, her pittie companion passed away from mammary cancer, leaving little Squirt without her best friend but she kept her sweet spirit and kept going strong.
Squirt is a 4–5-year-old blonde Chiweenie (Dachshund/Chihuahua mix) with the most striking golden eyes and a truly unique look. She may be small, but she has a big personality! Squirt is playful and confident and doesn’t mind interacting with dogs much larger than herself. Her feelings about cats are still unknown. She would likely thrive with a loving family and children age 4+ who can play with her, but she would also make a wonderful companion for an older adult looking for a loyal little sidekick.
Squirt is housebroken and walks nicely on a leash once the initial excitement of being outside settles down. She has recently started crate training it’s not her favorite place yet, but she settles fairly quickly.
Her favorite things include:

😴 Taking cozy naps in the sun
Squirt is truly a lovely, lively little dog with a lot of character and heart, and she’s ready to find a forever home where she can be loved the way she deserves.
