Periwinkle is settling into foster life and showing just how sweet, sensitive, and devoted she truly is. She may be a little slow to warm up at first, but once she feels comfortable, she blossoms into an affectionate, people-loving girl who wants nothing more than to be by your side — ideally touching you at all times.This freckle-faced cutie with adorable bunny ears loves being attached to her person. She forms strong bonds and is happiest when she knows her people are nearby. She enjoys snuggling, being involved in daily activities, and soaking up attention. While she can take a little time to build confidence, once she does, her loving personality really shines.Periwinkle knows “sit” and “paw” and is a smart, thoughtful dog who clearly enjoys learning. She has a nice balance of mostly calm, sleepy energy at home with little bursts of playful fun. Rope toys and squeaky balls are favorites when she’s feeling spunky.On leash, Periwinkle is a gentle walker with only slight pulling if something catches her interest. She happily greets men and women she meets on walks and enjoys the chance to say hello. She hasn’t had much exposure to other animals yet in foster, but she shows interest in the world around her and loves getting out for her daily strolls. She does well in her crate for short periods and settles nicely when her foster is away. She thrives on routine and structure and feels most comfortable when her trusted person is guiding her.One thing her foster is currently working on is helping her feel more confident using the backyard for bathroom breaks. She prefers going out on leash and can be hesitant to venture into the yard alone, especially without her main person. With patience and consistency, she’s continuing to build confidence.Overall, Periwinkle is a deeply affectionate, loyal companion who wants to be someone’s little shadow. She would do wonderfully in a home that appreciates a sensitive, snuggly dog and is willing to give her a little time to fully bloom. In return, you’ll get a devoted best friend with a gentle heart and the sweetest little face.Periwinkle is currently enjoying the comfort of a foster home.
