adoption pending - ace

Ace's adoption is pending. He is getting a chance to see if he will work out with a prospective adopter. They took advantage of our Foster - to Adopt program to give him a try in their own home. Ace came in as a stray, we believe he is a Husky - Golden Retriever mix. He is timid and shy, like most dogs when they first come into the shelter. H e really warms up once we bring in another dog with him. Then the play begins! We believe he is about 1 1/2 years old. Here is what one of the volunteers said about his vet visit: Ace was a big boy on his trip to the vet. He was cautious, but jumped in the car on his own. He rode nicely and watched out the front window over my husband’s shoulder. He was brave going back in the patient area, and did not cower from the staff. So far he has not had any accidents in his indoor kennel overnight. With all dogs, you will need to learn their cues that they need to go out and the dog needs to learn your habits as well. All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered (if they are old enough) before they leave the shelter. If the dog is not old enough, you will be given a voucher for Animal Medical Center in Emmett to cover the cost of the spay or neuter.
