š¾. Meet August, a 2-yr-old, 8.5lb,
tiny, sweet boy with a gentle heart who is looking for a calm, experienced home. He has been through a very difficult past and will need a patient, understanding adopter who can help him continue building confidence at his own pace.
He is leash- and crate-trained and is very good about letting you know when he needs to go outside or when itās mealtime. Heās still working on full house-training but is making steady progress with pee pads, diapers and structure.
Once he feels safe, August is affectionate, playful, and loves being close to his person. Because of his background, a home without small children is best. He does well with other dogs and cats, but will also do well alone. Also, he can be an escape artist, so a secure yard or leash use outdoors is very important.
August will thrive with someone experienced, patient, and committed to positive reinforcement. In the right home, he will be a deeply loyal and loving companion. š¾
