This dashing 7-year-old, tri-colored, long-haired Dachshund just traded the West Coast surf for the Big Apple skyline. At 18 pounds of pure handsomeness, Buddy is looking for a sophisticated, kid-free home where he can be the star of the show.

Buddy is the ultimate "low-maintenance" roommate: he’s house-trained, walks like a pro on a leash, and is surprisingly quiet for his breed (no "hot dog" howling here!). He does have a few city-dweller quirks: he’s a firm believer in "what’s mine is mine" when it comes to toys and treats, and he prefers you keep your hands off the cargo—no rear-end scratches, please! Because of this, we'd recommend that Buddy go to home with no children or with older children, who can understand and respect his boundaries. 

If you’re looking for a loyal, slightly eccentric, and incredibly handsome companion to brighten your apartment, Buddy is ready to be your best friend. Buddy is eligible for our foster-to-adopt program!

Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella, heartworm negative, microchipped and neutered. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available.
