Meet rita
Rita is an intelligent and very sweet dog who I think would thrive in a single-pet household. We rescued her as a puppy, and she is now almost a year old. She showed signs of resource guarding and reactivity towards our other dog. My wife and I obtained professional training from Dog Training Elite for both dogs, and Rita has done excellently. Despite this, she reacted suddenly one night and attacked Queso and bit my wife’s arm when she tried to stop the attack. As soon as the two dogs were separated, Rita calmed down and has never shown aggression (before or after) towards any human. Due to the unpredictability, we believe she should not live with another dog.
She is not generally reactive to other dogs (such as on walks), exceptionally friendly with people and, is professionally trained. The training we paid for includes group class for Rita which we never got a chance to attend but a new family would be welcome to take advantage of them and finish her training.
