But let’s be clear — this outdoorsy girl is not only about activities. If your perfect Sunday includes a blanket, a couch, and a questionable number of binge-watch episodes, Octavia is fully on board. She comes equipped with premium puppy snuggles, warm cuddles, and that soft little sigh they do when they’ve decided you are their person. It’s elite-level comfort.

Octavia’s story could have been very different. She came to us after a kind, quick-thinking citizen witnessed her owner giving away a litter of puppies in a parking lot. One moment of compassion changed everything. Without that person stepping in, Octavia’s future was terrifyingly uncertain — and when dogs are treated as disposable, the paths they’re sent down are rarely safe or kind. And yet… look at her now.

Octavia is a young Border Collie / Australian Cattle Dog mix with a bright, curious mind and the most endearing markings. She’s what we lovingly call a rez dog — likely carrying a medley of beautiful breeds in her DNA. These mixed-breed gems are often the best of all worlds: resilient, adaptable, healthy, and deeply loyal. That unique blend? It’s her superpower.

Octavia isn’t looking for perfection. She’s looking for belonging. A family who will include her in their adventures, their routines, their everyday moments. Someone who understands that the best lives are shared.
