Meet amora
Weight: 35 poundsAmora came in from Animal Control and has a sweet and excited personality. While we don`t know what breed she is, Google Lens seems to think she`s part Kelpie! She was very shy when she first came in but has come out of her shell since and loves to play with her friend, Beau, go on walks, and snuggle with the volunteers. She seems to prefer male dogs as playmates over females.She always seems happy and has lately been doing parkour jumps off of her kennel door in while she waits to go for her walk or play in the yard. When we first tried to walk her on a leash, she panicked and didn`t know what to do, but now she walks on a leash like a dream! She knows how to sit for her treats and her food now and has learned to behave the best she can in a shelter environment. She usually goes potty in her kennel instead of on her morning and afternoon walks, and we don`t know what her housetraining looks like in a home environment, or if she`s ever been in a home before, but she`s ready!Amora would work in any type of home, but a meet-and-greet would be wise if she`s going to be with other dogs, especially dominant females.
