Turtle is a bright, affectionate young dog who forms deep bonds with his people and thrives on connection, structure, and shared adventures. At home, he is playful, loyal, and happiest when learning new things or spending quiet time with his favorite humans. He loves long decompression walks in peaceful places where he can explore at his own pace.
Turtle is a sensitive soul who feels safest in calm, predictable environments. Like many intelligent dogs, he can become overwhelmed by busy settings or unfamiliar situations and may bark or react when unsure. Because of this, he is looking for an experienced, adult-only home with someone who enjoys working with thoughtful, emotionally complex dogs and uses force-free methods.
He has food sensitivities (no chicken or beef) and does best on a salmon-based diet. Turtle has received extensive professional support and has a strong foundation; he simply needs the right environment and handler to continue building confidence.
