Meet red
This handsome bright-eyed German Shepherd (with perhaps Black Mouth Cur) mix is Red. He was surrendered along on 2/3 to the Mesquite Animal Shelter. Reason for the surrender was the health of the elderly owner and having too many animals to properly care for. Red is neutered, weighs 71 pounds, is about 3 years old. He looks healthy and from the appearance of his beautiful red coat, appears to have been nicely cared for. This sweet boy spent a fair amount of time looking out the windows in our Meet and Greet room. Red walks well on a leash and may be house trained. He is calm and low-key. He is a friendly boy and was OK with being petted. Red is still a bit uneasy, but with each passing day is feeling more comfortable and seems more confident and trusting in the shelter environment. Can you find it in your heart to assist Red with finding his forever home?
