Stokely was found as a stray, looking for help from anyone, and luckily one of our volunteers found him. After no one came to claim him, the volunteer wanted to foster him to help him find his forever home! A home that would search everywhere for him if he went missing.

His foster reports that Stokely is super gentle and takes treats with the upmost respect for your fingers. He is the most wiggly boy, which fooled people into thinking he was a puppy, but he's actually 3 years old!

Stokely loves EVERYONE and every dog he meets. No one is a stranger, which is perfect for homes with children or if you like hosting events, he will eagerly welcome anyone in. He loves playing with other dogs, but is still trying to figure out how to play with humans (it bewilders him). As you can see in the pictures, he's a fan of the couch and cuddling with him is mandatory. You can't say no. He will snore, though.

He is working on housetraining, getting better at it every day. He is a people pleaser and listens really well to redirection. He is living in a home with 3 cats and for the most part respects them, but sometimes he can't fight his inner voice telling him to chase. Stokely is trying to figure everything out and learning the rules as he goes so he can be the best boy (he already is, but he has imposter syndrome, he's working on it).
