Meet our cutest sweetest new elder Yorkie man, Eldridge 😍

He proves that age is all a state of mind, and is a happy lovable little boy who still plays with squeaky toys even with half his teeth missing, loves to eat, and especially loves cuddling with people. We think he’s at least 10-12 years old and was abandoned for reasons unknown and definitely not deserved, but he’s cheerful and optimistic about his future and his stubby little tail is always wagging. His bloodwork showed some concerns of protein loss in his kidneys and possibly gi tract; we are hopeful with some diet changes and medication that will improve as he’s not showing any clinical signs, always has an amazing appetite, and already gained 1/2 a pound since his arrival (now at 10lbs) But those of us who live with and love seniors know we have to enjoy the time we have with them to its fullest, be it months or years, and little Eldridge is ready to enjoy each moment he has left with whomever chooses him.

Since COVID-19, we are no longer holding our Sunday adoption events until further notice, but we are scheduling meet and greet appointments with a specific dog or dogs at our meeting spots in Northern NJ. Please check your email regularly for next steps. All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption and we do not have a central shelter location. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.
