Meet peter rabbit (boomslang 10)

Peter Rabbit (Boomslang 10) is a 6-year-old, 47-pound pup who loves meeting new people. He’s full of affection — this sweet boy just wants to give hugs and be close to his people. Peter Rabbit is truly a delight — playful, friendly, and always ready to soak up attention. On walks, Peter Rabbit enjoys sniffing all the “love notes” around the neighborhood and may do some mild pulling, but with a pocket full of treats and a little patience, he is eager to please. He loves to run around and be a happy, goofy dog and when playtime is done for the day, he’s perfectly content curling up in a warm, cozy bed.Peter Rabbit came to the shelter in need of a little extra TLC and is settling in more each day. He loves pets and affection. He’ll happily be your shadow, your cuddle buddy, and your biggest fan. He`s very food motivated (the way to his heart might just be through his stomach!), which will make training fun and rewarding. He can get a little jumpy when he’s excited for attention or treats, but he redirects easily and is eager to engage.Peter Rabbit recently strutted his stuff in the shelter’s Adopted at First Sight PAWrade, and he was the best little date anyone could ask for! This silly, lovable boy was such a good sport — he had no problem keeping all of his adorable accessories on and took it all in stride. He absolutely loved meeting people in the crowd, happily greeting men, women, and kids with his joyful personality.Peter enjoyed a weekend slumber party with volunteers, and they had a glowing report - “We could NOT get enough of this boy! He is a snuggle bug to every person he meets and is such an easy going guy. He also can hang out around the house independently which is nice to have and rare to come by!”Peter met lots of new people over the weekend, including lots of children at a Baltimore Blast adoption event, and he was gentle and loving with children and adults. He was not reactive to other dogs and is not a big puller. They even had an unleashed dog approach and he did so well handling the situation and ignoring the other dog. Peter worked on his potty training, and is almost there! He just had a couple accidents, but that is completely normal for a dog in a new place. He did better throughout the weekend as he adjusted to the schedule, and will surely do well with consistency and routine in his new home. They left him uncrated to free roam one floor for four hours. This good boy slept on the couch and watched out
