Meet Poppy!
Poppy is a one and a half year old Retriever mix whose default setting is happy! She wakes up ready for fun, goes to bed proud of a day well spent, and brings joy everywhere she goes.
Her favorite thing in the world? The ball. Truly. Ball is life. When she is not chasing it, she is busy playing with her three foster dog siblings or making sure she is getting her fair share of love and attention. Poppy is all smiles and she absolutely loves other dogs and people. She gets adorably excited whenever she sees someone new, because in Poppy’s mind, everyone is a potential new best friend!
When playtime is over, Poppy is more than happy to switch gears and cuddle. She loves being close to her people and is always up for snuggling on the couch or settling in nearby for some quality downtime.
Poppy is potty trained, crate trained, and an excellent listener. She is very food and treat motivated and loves learning, which makes training easy and rewarding. She genuinely wants to please and does an amazing job at it.
She is also refreshingly gentle with her toys. Poppy does not destroy them and instead enjoys nibbling on her tiny toys like they are the most important treasures she owns.
