Meet zoey
We rescued Zoey from the Long Beach Harbor after someone abandoned her and her siblings there nine years ago. Zoey just turned 9 this past November and is a shy, 8-lb Dachshund mix.
Zoey is fully potty trained and does well with outdoor grass and soil, as well as indoor pee pads. She responds well to her name and loves being carried and petted throughout the day. She is food driven and loves fresh cucumber, pear, apple, carrot and chicken treats. She does not enjoy long walks, anything over 10 or 15 minutes I need to carry her back.
Zoey is a little shy, calm and unbothered by other dogs or children, not sure about cats. She does not bark at them and generally keeps to herself. She likes to chase squirrels, opposums or birds when she sees them outside.
I am looking for someone who can spend more time and give her the attention she deserves. A senior citizen or someone seeking a small companion dog would be ideal.
