Mavis - 8 years old, small, toy poodle, Woodstock
Ms. Mavis is a sweet, soft-souled girl with a quiet presence and a heart full of love waiting to bloom. Mavis is being fostered in Woodstock, IL. She is a bit shy at first and tends to observe the world from a safe distance, but with time and reassurance, her gentle nature shines through. This docile pup will thrive with a patient, understanding human who’s willing to move at her pace and celebrate small victories with her as she learns that humans are good. She doesn’t ask for much—just kindness, consistency, and a calm environment where she can feel secure. Once she begins to trust, Mavis shows her affection in subtle, tender ways. Although very small (only 10 pounds), Mavis loves the company of other pups (calm and sweet pups), and we have found that the companionship of another animal helps her to feel brave. If you’re someone who believes love grows best when it’s nurtured slowly, Mavis may be the perfect companion to share your heart and home with. Mavis has an adoption fee of $600.
