Meet Finnegan.

Finn is a 30 pound bundle of personality, emotion, fluff, and resilience.

A sensitive soul seeking his safe place, his sanctuary, his happily ever after.

At 5 years old, he’s been through more than most dogs ever should and we’re urgently searching for a foster or forever home for him.

His current foster can no longer keep him, and returning to the shelter is not an option for him.

Every time Finnegan has been in a kennel environment, he mentally shuts down. His anxiety escalates quickly, he begins to self harm, and we fear deeply for his wellbeing.

Despite his rough journey, Finnegan has made tremendous progress through medication, training, and the love of his foster.

He still has some behavioral challenges and off days, just like we all do, but he has lots of great days too.

Finn loves to sing, adores being outside, and food is absolutely the way to his heart.

He's made lots of dog friends and even a few cat friends, although he's not a fan of the sassy ones.

He's learned that strangers aren't so scary and has done well with both women and men.

He is on lifelong medications and will need someone who understands that healing takes time and compassion.

But he is so worth it.

Finnegan’s ideal home includes:

To support his transition into a new home, our trainer will provide a free session once he’s in his new home.

Finnegan is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, and kept on prevention.

Once your application is processed and approved, our adoptions team will reach out to schedule an in person meet and greet with Finnegan.

Our adoption fees includes the pets spay or neuter surgery, microchip, age appropriate vaccines, heartworm + flea + tick disease testing, fecal check, and any medical care needed while staying with us. All adoption fees can be found on our website.

The first step to our adoption process is to please fill out and adoptions application which can be found on our website www.serenityanimalhospital.net, under the "Adopt From Us" Tab. You can also complete an application in person at Serenity Animal Hospital.

Any questions regarding our adoptable dogs can be emailed to our adoptions team at adoptions@serenityanimalhospital.net. Completing an application either online or in person is always the first step to our adoption process.
