Chicago came into the shelter as a stray after being caught in a trap, and it’s left her shaken and scared 💔. She is terrified of the leash, but once she’s out of the kennel and given a moment to breathe, her sweet, gentle nature starts to show.
Chicago warms up with patience, enjoys human kindness, and is both dog-friendly and people-friendly. She isn’t a “problem dog” — she’s a frightened dog who needs reassurance, calm handling, and a safe place to decompress.
Shelter life is overwhelming for her, and she urgently needs a foster or adopter who can show her that not all humans hurt and not all restraint means danger.
