Meet Lady– The Ultimate Belly Rub Lover

At just a year old, Lady is the perfect mix of sweet, silly, and snuggly. She’s a total cuddle connoisseur who will dramatically flop onto her back the moment she meets you, requesting — no, demanding — belly rubs with the most irresistible puppy eyes. If you pause for even a second, she’ll politely paw at you like, “Excuse me… I wasn’t done being adored.” Lady takes her love very seriously.

She’s also got a calm, old-soul kind of energy that makes her the ideal companion. Honestly, she’s a professional napper. The second she found the couch during her assessment, she was like, “Yup, this is my life now,” and started drifting off before we could even finish our notes. Her dream day definitely includes a long nap, a few toys to collect like treasures, and lots of pets from her humans. (She will happily relocate every toy she finds to her couch throne for safekeeping.)

Go see Lady's cuteness in action in her video!

Lady is super easygoing in the home — she’s the kind of pup who’s content to just exist by your side, whether you’re watching TV, working from home, or sneaking snacks in the kitchen (don’t worry, she won’t tell). She’d make an amazing apartment dog — calm, quiet, and perfectly happy as long as she gets love and a comfy place to nap.

When it comes to other dogs, Lady is polite but a little shy at first. She likes her personal bubble and will gently remind pushy dogs to give her space with a little “smile” — just her way of saying, “I’m a lady, please.” Once she knows she’s safe, though, she relaxes and starts to open up. She’d do best with a low-key doggy friend who’s respectful and maybe even enjoys being “mothered.” Kitties, on the other hand, are a big “no thank you.” One jumpy cat was enough to convince her that felines are best admired from afar.

Lady’s foster says she’s been wonderful in the home — calm, gentle, and happy to just hang out. She’s great with kids, super tolerant of touch, and walks nicely on leash once she gets comfortable (she’s a sensitive soul, so a kind, patient hand works wonders).

Basically, Lady is a walking dream. She’s sweet, affectionate, and low-maintenance — the kind of pup who will love you endlessly, make you laugh daily, and remind you that sometimes, the best things in life are simple: belly rubs, naps, and unconditional love. 💛

If you’re looking for a calm, loving, slightly silly couch potato with golden eyes and a heart of pure sunshine, Lady is your girl.

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!

We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
