We got May 2 yrs ago as a rescue from Honduras. She is approximately 4-5 years old and spayed. We were told she had a litter of pups before she was put in a shelter. She looks like a Black Mouth Cur, however, genetic testing identifies her as a Village Dog. We fell in love with her sweet nature and cute smile and had hoped she would stay with us for her lifetime, however, our circumstances changed as grandparents to twin baby boys. Although May has assimilated well into a family with three other dogs and a cat, she has exhibited dominance towards small dogs (while on a leash), our cat, and our crawling grandsons.
I believe she is a herder by nature. She loves to chase rabbits and squirrels, so a home with a garden and/or fence would be perfect! She is very fast and agile, prone to zoomies and loves to cuddle on the couch. We think May would be a perfect fit someone looking for a companion or a family looking for a sweet dog for their older child.
