Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Renji is a happy‑go‑lucky, goofy, lovable american bulldog mix who brings sunshine everywhere he goes. When he’s excited, his whole body wiggles—not just his tail—and his big, joyful “smile” is impossible to resist. He’s friendly with everyone he meets, walks beautifully on a leash, and is the perfect passenger for car rides. Truly, he has never met a stranger. At home, Renji is a sweet mix of cuddly and independent. He loves being near his humans, giving kisses, and burrowing into pillows on the couch or bed, but he also enjoys having his own space to relax. He’s well‑trained, eager to please, and knows an impressive list of commands including Sit, Stay, Down, Heel, Wait, Leave It, Shake, and more. He’s potty trained, does great on walks, and enjoys exploring the yard. He doesn’t react to squirrels or bunnies but will give a few barks to the mail carrier or delivery drivers. Renji is ball obsessed—fetch is his absolute favorite game, and he’ll happily play as long as you’re willing. Just be prepared: he won’t drop the ball unless he sees you have another one ready to go. After playtime, he’s content to lounge, nap, and soak up the calm. He has done well with visiting dogs and dogs he meets on walks, and he has also done well with cats in homes he’s visited. He does wonderfully with kids outside the home, but because he has had some reaction to the young child in his previous home, he needs a home without small children. Older, considerate kids are a great fit. Renji does have allergies that need ongoing management to keep him comfortable. He has been well‑loved and well cared for, and it shows—he’s confident, social, affectionate, and ready to bond deeply with his new family. If you’re looking for a silly, sweet, well‑trained companion who will make you laugh every single day, Renji is ready to wiggle his way into your heart. Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
