Meet Aria!Aria is a 3-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix that came to AHeinz57 as a mom to a litter of puppies. We are not sure of her past experiences, but she is wary of small spaces and of new people. Aria is loyal girl, but very protective of her people. She adores the children in her foster home, but because she is still unsure of new people, a home without kids would be best as fast movements, loud noises, and many new changes can make her nervous. Aria takes her time warming up to new faces, but with consistency and patience, she has shown she can build trust with multiple meet-and-greets to help her feel safe and secure. Due to this, she will require a 6-foot, privacy fenced yard so she can be her best self in the safety of her own space.Once Aria has become comfortable, she can be a loving companion who just wants to be part of a patient and caring home where she can continue to thrive. In her foster home, she is still working on her leash skills but so far, is not a fan of being kenneled or crated. She is well-mannered, potty trained, and knows her basic commands like sit, stay and shake. She also likes going on walks, soaking up the sun, riding in the car, playing tug-of-war and munching on ice cubes.
