Meet clay
Clay is a very gentle, sweet, and friendly boy. He was brought into the local shelter as a stray with clear signs of neglect and a difficult early life, yet he was so happy and friendly with everyone he met. His wonderful foster mom decided to give him a better environment get healthy in, and he now lives with her and her very active Golden Retriever. Clay is still gaining his energy and confidence back, but he loves his new foster brother and plays with him as much as he can. He is generally very calm and gentle, and he loves cuddling and showing/receiving affection. Clay would do well in a wide variety of homes; he loves people and other dogs, even if they are higher energy than him. He walks well on leash, is housetrained, and does well in a crate. If you are looking for a dog you can shower with affection, and receive it back equally, Clay is the dog for you. He is waiting for a fresh start with his perfect family. We have not yet had a chance to test out his interactions with children or cats, but it would be incredibly surprising to find out he has any issues with either.To make the best possible match for you and the pet, please follow the link below to complete the Adoption Application.
