Meet Dobbie!

Dobbie is a sweet 1-year-old, 10-pound Chihuahua mix looking for her forever home. She was surrendered by her previous owner who could no longer care for her, and now she’s ready to find a loving family to call her own.

Dobbie is a calm and curious little lady who loves cuddling and being a true lapdog. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats, thriving on their company and friendship. She’d do best in a home with older, dog-savvy children who understand her gentle and confident nature.

This little explorer prefers having a fenced yard where she can roam freely, sniffing out all the interesting scents at her own pace. While she’s not super interested in toys, Dobbie shows her playful side in other fun ways. She also enjoys car rides and loves to stay cozy in sweaters when the weather gets chilly.

Dobbie isn’t a vocal dog, making her a peaceful companion. She’s looking for someone kind and patient who will adore her and give her the love she truly deserves.

Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. We make every effort to evaluate each animal’s temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different.

While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program.

FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS.
