Meet millie

Meet Millie.

Millie hasn’t had the easiest start in life, but that hasn’t stopped her from being determined and full of heart. She first appeared in June as a tiny puppy with her two siblings at the home of an older gentleman who lived in a remote area. By the end of July, Millie showed up again—this time alone and badly injured.

She was dragging her back end and using only her front legs to get around. The gentleman was able to safely trap her in his shed and slowly gain her trust, but he didn’t have transportation or the funds to get her veterinary care. Thankfully, after being injured for about 6 months, a friend was able to bring Millie into town so she could finally get the help she needed.

Our vet believes Millie’s injury is old and that no further medical treatment is possible. Despite this, Millie does not let it slow her down. She walks in a crouched position, can hold her bowel movements, and goes potty outside just like any other dog.

Millie is about 10 months old and weighs around 26 lbs. We believe she may be a Corgi/Shiba Inu mix—or maybe just a mix of pure adorable. She is incredibly soft, very shy, and will need a couple of weeks to feel comfortable with her new humans, but she is absolutely worth the wait.

Millie is great with other dogs, does well with cats, and enjoys playing with her canine friends. She is kennel trained and potty trained. Millie needs a home with a fenced backyard.

Millie is current on all vaccines, on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention, and is heartworm positive but currently undergoing treatment. She will be spayed and microchipped.

Life has not been kind to Millie at such a young age, but she is resilient, gentle, and so deserving of a loving home. Millie may be a little different, but she is truly something special—and so worth it. 🐾💕
Unless otherwise noted, dogs with Last Chance Arkansas are cared for in foster homes throughout Arkansas and can be transported to other states if needed. Please note that an additional fee will apply if a transport company is used for out-of-state adoptions.
