Meet berlioz

Berlioz (meaning "little bear") just joined The Rescue Crew on Saturday, January 10. He came to us after being rescued by one of our partner organizations after being picked up as a stray, along with his brother Toulouse, on the PineRidge Reservation. Check back often for updates as we get to know these boys better.

First week update: Berlioz is settling into his foster home well. The first few days were filled with uncertainty as he made the long drive to Minnesota, was separated from his brother, and spent his first night alone. Now, he is starting to explore in earnest and finding his routine. He shows his herding dog heritage by staying right by foster mom's side, sometimes nipping heels gently  (probably no very small children, or a family who understand how to work with this). Berlioz prefers to have company. He would love to have other dogs to play with and shows excellent social skills with the limited introductions he's had with the other dogs in the home. He is also a world-class snuggles who likes to give hugs, kisses, and sit in laps.

Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.

The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well.
