Meet chopper
Chopper is an amazing senior toy poodle, 14 years in February.
He has allergies and an inside cough. I was told by several vets, this was the name of his coughing. It sounds scary, but you just need to give him a minute and it passes. Usually, it picks up when it is cold or allergy season. His eyes tear often due to his allergies. I usually wipe his face with a microfiber towel daily. I also keep the hair around his eyes buzzed so as not to have bacteria buildup. Chopper also makes a throw up sound after drinking water. Chopper has had all these traits since he was a puppy. They never get in the way of his happiness, playtime, or walks.
Chopper has one tooth. He had all his teeth removed in 2024. Because of this and his allergies as well as the fact he is a picky eater, Chopper is on a strict diet. Any changes in his food results in: diarrhea/constipation, vomit, refusal to eat.
Chopper turns 14 in February but you would never know it. He loves to run and play.
