Hi, my name is Whitney, and I’m a happy, medium-sized chocolate-and-white terrier mix with a big smile and an even bigger heart. I love being outdoors—walks, hikes, and exploring the world are some of my favorite things. I do great on leash and enjoy running around the yard, especially when I get to play with my foster siblings, both dogs and cats.I’m a smart girl and eager to learn. I already know sit and lay down, and I politely sit and wait for my meals until I’m told “eat.” When the day winds down, my favorite place to be is right next to my people. If I could fit in your pocket, I’d happily stay there all day—I truly love being close.I’m house-trained, crate-trained, great with children, and have a gentle, affectionate nature. I can be a little nervous around men and loud fireworks, but with patience and reassurance, I continue to gain confidence.I do still get excited and jump up sometimes (we’re working on my manners!), so I may be best with kids who aren’t super tiny. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will happily join you on adventures and cuddle up with you afterward, I just might be your girl.My adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! On Fridays and Saturdays, you’re welcome to walk in anytime between 10:00am and 5:00pm. Please note that we’re closed for adoptions on Sundays and Mondays
