Meet cooper
Our family adopted Cooper from Ruff Start Rescue when he was 4 months old. He was found on a reservation in North Dakota when Ruff Start took him in. Cooper is a 7 year old Retriever/Shepherd/Collie mix and weighs 50lbs. Due to his breed, he has herding instincts and is very intelligent. He does best with regular exercise and stimulation. Cooper grew up with our Chihuahua and is very gentle with her (he lets her be the boss). Unfortunately, Cooper can become aggressive if approached or is startled by strangers. Due to his breed, he does not like “chaos”, which leads to him trying to “heard” the chaos and whoever is causing it. We have two young children at home and he recently bit our youngest. To be fair, our daughter did provoke the bite, he is not aggressive whatsoever towards the kids (or anyone) unless he is provoked. He LOVES to cuddle, give kisses, and go for walks or run around outside. He would do great in a loving home without children. He has never lived with cats.
