Bono is a 1 year old, 18-lb Chihuahua mix who has settled nicely into his foster home. He has come a long way since his arrival and continues to make steady, heartwarming progress. Bono is a quiet, observant little guy who is learning what it means to live comfortably indoors. As his confidence grows, so does his trust—he now seeks out cuddles from his foster parents and clearly enjoys their affection. He currently lives with two medium-sized dogs. While Bono doesn’t initiate play with them, he does like to join in when they are playing. Because of this we feel that Bono would love to have another small dog in his forever home. One of Bono’s big milestones is learning to walk on his own to go outside for potty breaks instead of being carried. He takes his time coming back inside after finishing his business, unless it’s dark—then he’s happy to head indoors, where he clearly feels safe. Bono  hasn’t had any potty accidents and sleeps quietly through the night, snuggled in his cozy bed. Bono is a gentle soul who is blossoming with patience, consistency, and love. He will thrive in a calm home that allows him to continue building confidence at his own pace—and rewards his progress with cuddles, comfort, and kindness. *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row):

Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee 

Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee 

Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
