If you’re looking for a cuddly dog who wants nothing more than to love and be loved, Elsie’s your girl.

Elsie is sweet and aims to please. She is close to perfect, arriving from Kentucky and adapting well to city life. Building trust is key -- Elsie gets nervous when you go to pick her up or lean down when she's following you around. She will circle and then crouch, almost as if she's expecting to be reprimanded. Everyday there is progress. The reality is Elsie is quiet and happy to be at your side while you work or watch TV (she’s a Hallmark girl who also likes keeping up with the news). She loves to snuggle and has a heart of gold.

Elsie took a train ride to Connecticut for a day at the spa. Everyone loved her, and she likes her stylish trim and pedicure. While her foster sister napped the entire ride back, Elsie had fun people watching. She is a curious dog, but not reactive at all.

Elsie is low maintenance and ready to give her unconditional love. In her own words, “I can't wait to meet my forever family. I will love you and be forever grateful!”
