Meet sassy
Sassy is looking for a loving home. This sweet senior girl was surrendered to a shelter when her owner fell ill and could no longer care for her. We brought Sassy to our rescue in December, and since day one, she has been an absolute sweetheart.
Sassy is 13 years old and weighs 11 pounds. She is a very calm, easy going girl. She gets along well with all the dogs and people she's met. She's very docile; we imagine she'll be more comfortable in a calmer environment with a family that just wants to love her and keep her cozy.
She has a grade 3 heart murmur, which does not require any medication at this time, but she'll need an echocardiogram in 6 months to recheck. Sassy had infections in both ears and needed drops, as well as ointment for her eyes. She's feeling much better, but her future family should monitor her for recurring ear infections. Sassy is eating a prescription kidney diet due to protein found in her urine. She loves food, and we have not observed any food guarding.
