Meet veronica
Meet Veronica!
Veronica is a 7-year-old survivor with the quietest, most tender soul. She spent her entire life outdoors roaming around a sawmill, never knowing what it felt like to have gentle hands, kind words, or a soft bed to call her own.
When she first came to us, the world — especially humans — was overwhelming. But little by little, she has learned that not all people are scary. She now walks on a leash and has made so much progress… just at her own pace.
Veronica is still very reserved and easily frightened. She does not enjoy human interaction and can become overstimulated. When she feels unsafe, she may try to use her mouth as a defense — not because she’s mean, but because she’s scared. She needs a patient, understanding home that will let her simply exist without pressure.
What Veronica needs:
• A quiet, calm home
• No children
• A fully fenced yard
• An adopter who respects her space
The good news? Veronica absolutely adores other animals. She is wonderfully dog-friendly and cat-friendly and gains confidence from her furry friends. Another calm, confident pet in the home could truly help her continue to blossom.
Veronica may never be the cuddly, outgoing dog. But she deserves safety. She deserves stability. She deserves someone who sees her gentle heart and says, “You’re safe here.”
