Meet simone
My name is Simone and I am a tan & brown dachshund longhair/yorkshire terrier mix. I am a spayed female and I am 9 months old. I am here because I was given up by my owner on 02/21/2026 due to the fact my owner had personal problems happening in their life and could not take care of me anymore. They were my family for 1-3 months. I am used to staying inside during the day and inside during the night. I am potty trained. I am a high energy dog and I can live with an owner with no prior pet owning experience. I am not used to being left in a crate. I am great about walking nicely on leash. Any sort of training can help dogs bond with their owners. The shelter staff are assessing what kind of training program would be best for me - every dog is different! I dash out open doors if given the opportunity. I would do best in a setting with two doors between exterior doors, such as a screened in porch or hallway, or to be shut in another room or in a kennel before any doors or windows are opened. I would like a standard height fence to help keep me inside the yard. I can be good with men, women, and children.
