Meet ella
Ella weighs 52lbs and is a 3-year old, Australian cattle dog mix. She adores all people, is very good with kids and does ok with other animals, but her "cattle dog" nature makes her try to boss them around a bit more than necessary. Ella came into our care after her original owner was unable to help her through her behavioral issues. Ella was suffering from symptoms similar to a UTI but her test results kept coming back negative. She was prescribed a medication that caused her tremendous anxiety which ultimately made her afraid to go outside. Her owner worked with behaviorists, veterinarians and a trainer but was not able to help Ella over her fear of the outdoors. Ella has been with us a little over a month now and is making progress. She will voluntarily take herself outside using our doggie door, but does not yet always potty outside. She's very playful with the other dogs but can be a bit of a "cattle dog" in that she can try to herd the other dogs when she's bored. Ella enjoys people and loves to be brushed and doted on. She has been spayed and is up-to-date on her vaccines. Ella's adoption fee is $150.
