Wonka is sweet, playful, and ready to steal your heart! This 6-month-old, 34 lb Shepherd mix has classic goofy puppy energy and an even sweeter personality. Because Wonka didn’t have a ton of human interaction early on, he’s still building confidence—but he warms up fast and is eager to learn. He’s smart, food-motivated, and young enough to soak up training. He’s house-trained using a dog door, crates like a champ during mealtime and naps, and has quickly learned that home life is pretty great. He absolutely loves chewing on toys, wrestling with his dog friends, and then winding down with some quality snuggle time once playtime is over. He will need leash training and help growing his confidence with new skills. A secure fenced yard will be required to help him feel safe as he continues to grow and explore the world.Wonka has a great history with other dogs, so new dogs coming and going don’t phase him at all. He’s also lived with cats and does just fine, mostly minding his own business. Kids are fine too! Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.
