Meet Clementine!Clementine is a beautiful 1-year-old tan and white Chihuahua mix, weighing around 10–12 pounds. Born into a hoarding situation, Clementine initially didn’t know the touch of a gentle hand or the feel of grass beneath her paws. Today, she is blossoming with patience, love, and consistent care.This sweet, long-legged girl adores other animals and would likely do well with cats after slow introductions. She has been working with a behaviorist and is learning to trust people and navigate the world with confidence. Clementine follows her foster around the house, takes treats gently from hands, and has begun to join the family on the couch in the evenings. While she is still wary of being petted or held, she is making steady progress and responds beautifully to calm, consistent reinforcement.Clementine uses a doggy door to go potty and enjoys playing chase outside with other dogs. At night, she uses a pee pad and prefers to eat in a quiet space, which helps her feel safe and comfortable. She thrives in a calm, quiet home and would do best with someone who has the time and patience to help her continue to grow, forming strong bonds and confidence along the way.Clementine is a shy, precious pup with so much love to give. She is still cautious around new people, especially men, so a family dedicated to her ongoing growth will allow her true personality to shine.
