Meet Sasha 🌸
Sasha is a 2-year-old spayed German Shepherd who came to us as a stray and was never reclaimed. Since arriving, she has shown a lot of positive improvement and continues to blossom at her own pace.
Sasha can be shy and sensitive, especially with loud noises or sudden movements, and may retreat if she feels overwhelmed. On leash, she walks fairly well, but if asked to go in a direction she’s unsure about, she may stop and go “dead weight.” With patience, calm guidance, and reassurance, she does best.
Once Sasha feels comfortable, her sweet and curious side shines through. She allows gentle pets and will even seek out attention when trust is built. She is very food motivated and warms up quickly when treats like Vienna sausages or chicken are involved—snacks are truly the key to her heart!
Sasha can become nervous in crowded or busy environments, so she would thrive in a quiet, low-traffic home where she can continue learning that people are safe and kind. An adult-only home or a home with older, respectful children would be ideal for her.
Sasha is looking for a patient adopter who will give her the time, space, and consistency she needs to feel secure. In return, she’ll reward you with quiet companionship, growing confidence, and a loyal heart ready to trust again. 💛
