it’s me. kimber ??i’m a very gentle girl. i don’t rush into rooms or make big entrances. i just quietly walk in with my head low, my tail softly wagging, and my hands up like, “i come in peace.” that’s how i meet everyone—people, dogs, the whole world.I’m still learning to be brave, but I’ve been doing so much better since coming to my foster home. Being warm, safe, and loved has helped my heart grow just as much as my body has.before this, i was on the streets. i was very underweight, and when i was taken into the holding facility, my paws were bleeding. they hurt so badly that i didn’t even want to stand. walking felt like too much. we don’t know if it was from the cold or from being on my own for so long—but i know it hurt, and i was very tired.My foster mama has been so kind to me. She helped heal my paws, and now they feel so much better. I can walk, run, and even frolic a little—and every step feels like a gift.i love food, because i’m still gaining my weight back. i get excited and do tiny bunny hops, but i’m always polite. i’m just thankful.there have been lots of different dogs here for short weekend stays, and i’ve done really well with all of them. if they want to play, i’ll try. if they want space, i understand. i don’t need much—just calm company.I’m fully potty trained, quiet in my crate (even during a full workday), and very respectful in the home. I didn’t even know how to “sit” when I arrived, but I’m learning now. No one ever showed me before—but I’m trying my very best.Some people think my past wasn’t kind to me. That may be true. But I don’t carry bitterness in my heart.
