Meet endive lettuce
**Now fostered in Portland, OR**
Some puppies make life feel lighter — and Endive Lettuce is exactly that kind of pup.
Almost 5 months old and currently around 25 pounds, Endive is expected to grow into a medium-sized adult, likely in the 40–50 pound range. He’s already showing the kind of balanced, affectionate temperament that makes daily life with him feel easy and joyful.
Based on a sibling DNA test, Endive is believed to be a Catahoula, Pittie, and Husky mix — a smart, athletic blend that thrives with both connection and enrichment. He’s currently living in a house with a yard, which he enjoys, but what matters most for Endive isn’t the square footage. It’s consistent exercise, mental stimulation, and people who enjoy engaging with their dog.
Endive would thrive in a home that offers daily walks, playtime, training games, and interactive enrichment. A yard is a bonus, not a requirement — with the right routine and outlets, he could do beautifully in a variety of environments, including more urban settings.
He already knows “sit,” takes treats gently, walks well on leash, and does great in his kennel. He’s gentle with younger puppies, respectful with large dogs, and social with kids and adults alike. He reads other dogs well and plays politely, making him a wonderful fit for a multi-dog home or as a solo pup who gets plenty of interaction.
Endive loves toys and is a dedicated chewer, so he does best with sturdy, durable toys that can’t be pulled apart, along with tough chews and stuffed frozen Kongs. These help him stay happily occupied and settle quietly in his kennel when left alone.
When the day winds down, Endive is all about comfort — curling up by the fireplace, settling in close to his people, and enjoying calm moments just as much as playtime.
Endive is the kind of dog who thrives when included — in daily routines, weekend adventures, and cozy evenings at home. Our team carefully matchmakes each dog to ensure the right fit for both the pup and the family.

He’s ready for a life that’s active, enriched, and full of love — and he’s going to make someone very happy.
