Meet coconut
I had a difficult start to life and was rescued from an animal cruelty and hoarding situation. Because of this, the world can feel unpredictable and scary to me. Shelter life was extremely stressful, and while my current family has worked hard to support me, their busy household has proven to be more than I can manage.
I can be wary of unfamiliar people and situations and may bark or react when I feel unsafe. A calm home with limited visitors and a predictable routine helps me feel secure and allows my affectionate, playful side to come forward.
I form strong attachments and am deeply loyal to my chosen person. I enjoy being nearby throughout the day.
I am a very smart dog, and structure and positive reinforcement makes me feel good. I already know so many tricks and I’d love for you to teach me more! You don’t have to take me to the park to play fetch with me - I love to play indoors. My favorite thing is food! I love to work for it.
