Autumn is taking a break from the shelter in a loving foster home. She is described as a wonderful foster and an absolute joy to have in the home. She is fully house-trained, including potty-trained. She knows basic commands like sit and stay, and she absolutely loves playing fetch—she’ll happily bring the ball right back and drop it for you. Despite being a bit older, she still enjoys playtime (and is surprisingly agile), and a small yard or play area would be perfect for her.Autumn is a very smart dog and settles into routines quickly. Within just a few days, she already knew the entrance to our townhome. She is extremely affectionate and a true people-pleaser. Indoors, she loves being near her people, whether that’s relaxing on the couch with her blanket or following you from room to room. She bonds with people quickly and thrives on companionship. She rarely barks and is largely quiet while inside (besides a few whimpers to let us know she needed to use the bathroom, or she wanted her ball). She was great when left unattended in our house and did not get into any mischief besides laying on the couch. Initially, she slept in her crate, however once we realized how reliable she was, we let her sleep downstairs on the couch.
