She is social, people-oriented, and thrives on interaction—but she needs the right environment and experienced guidance to help her succeed.In the kennel, Chunk is friendly at the gate and generally ignores dogs passing by, though she does pull moderately on leash. She enjoys body handling and petting, which often helps her settle, and she shows clear affection toward her handlers. She can become over-aroused with certain types of touch, particularly around her hind end, and benefits from calm, structured interactions. Chunk is playful and enthusiastic, showing a strong interest in interactive games and movement. During play-based assessments, she displayed high energy and excitement but was able to calm down with guidance. She is a **high-impact player** with other dogs and would do best with careful dog introductions and structured play.One of Chunk’s primary challenges is resource guarding, particularly around food and high-value items. Chunk will require consistent behavior modification, management strategies, and positive reinforcement work to address guarding behaviors safely.Chunk is very social with people and greets strangers with enthusiasm—sometimes too much enthusiasm—jumping and scrabbling in excitement.
