Meet Parker!Parker is a sweet 4 month old Chihuahua mix with a gentle heart and the cutest little personality, who is still learning that the world is a safe and loving place. This gentle boy came into foster care very shy, but with time, patience, and a calm environment, he’s slowly beginning to open up — and it’s been wonderful to watch his personality emerge. He is a quiet, thoughtful little guy who prefers to observe from a distance until he feels comfortable. He’s still too shy to come up for pets, but he`s getting braver every day. Once Parker trusts you, you can see the spark of playfulness start to show! He loves running around the yard doing zoomies and showing off his happy, silly side. He does the silliest little hops—just like a bunny—which are guaranteed to make you smile. He especially enjoys playing with other dogs and would do great in a home with a friendly canine companion to help show him the ropes. He is also a sock thief — he loves to gather socks and bits of clothing and gently carry them back to his kennel like treasured souvenirs. It’s part of his comfort routine and just adds to his charm.Parker will thrive in a patient, low-pressure, loving home with another friendly dog who can show him the ropes and let him move at his own speed and celebrate his progress. He’s not ready for a lot of handling yet, but with time and trust, kindness and a few playful zoomies, this sweet boy is sure to blossom into a loving, loyal wonderful companion.Parker is a quiet soul with a big heart. Watching him learn to trust, play, and enjoy life is incredibly rewarding.
