Harkness is a sweet, handsome boy who was found as a stray and is now ready to find his forever home. If there's one thing to know about Harkness is that he loves chairs. Seriously. Bench? Yes. Rolling chair? Yes. High chair? Absolutely. If you put a steak on one side and a regular old chair on the other, Harkness would jump up and sit on the chair every time.

This lovable guy adores people and shows his excitement with the cutest zoomies when he’s happy to see you. He’s affectionate, social, and always eager to be part of the fun.

Harkness is a high-energy pup who’s ready to play all day and would thrive in an active home that can keep him mentally and physically engaged. He already knows some basic commands like sit and shake, and he’s eager to show off his smarts.

When it comes to other dogs, Harkness can be particular about his playmates. He's played great with some other large dogs, and has declined friend requests from others. An extrovert with all people, and introvert with some dogs. Potential canine siblings should be introduced carefully. He has met and played off leash wit

h other large dog, but will need continued supervised playdates to assure his social skills are primed for all dogs to meet him. He would do best with adopters who can continue working on his training and provide proper structure.

One important thing to know about Harkness: he’s an excellent jumper and can clear a 6-foot fence, so he’ll need a secure setup and supervision when outside. Harkness enjoys visiting the aquarium, playing with toys and getting his zoomies out.
