Drake is a stunning one-year-old male yellow lab whose beautiful spirit shines as bright as his luscious coat. This special boy has been thriving in his foster home in Louisiana for the past six months, where he's been living his best life alongside a pack of canine companions.
When Drake first came to our rescue, our veterinarian discovered that he has a significant heart murmur. After six months of love and care with his foster family, the heart murmur remains unchanged. While there is no cure, Drake doesn't let this slow him down - he's living proof that joy exists in every moment.
Drake is a special-needs dog who needs an adopter with a truly open heart. His future health is unknown, and we cannot predict what lies ahead. What we can promise is that every day with Drake will be a gift. He's looking for a family who understands that loving him means cherishing each moment together, however many there may be.
Drake is up-to-date on all vaccines, current on heartworm and flea prevention, and has been neutered. He remains under veterinary care for his heart condition.
